![]() ![]() They say quite unequivocally that particular groups are better and this should be universally acknowledged. Take my earlier example of the Jim Crow laws. Point is, Christian nationalism shares some worrying tendenices with both fascism and the Southern Democrats in that it conscientiously seeks to make heirarchies into law. Sure, my example was fairly extreme, with communism as an example of the destructiveness of anti-hierarchy. Personal accountability and individuality is a more conservative view of the world, whereas group think and victim mentality is more likely to occur in someone who is further left. It isn’t conservatives who lean towards viewing the world that way. There’s a reason the left is creating more and more groups to lump people into, which is the point I was making in response to the first post in this thread. Trump says “there are good and bad people on sides, and I’m not talking about white nationalists or neo-nazis because they should be condemned totally” and the narrative from the left for years was “omg Trump said nazis are fine people!!”īiden says “I’m going to base this hire on sex and race” and the narrative from the left was “omg he’s so awesome I love his approach!” is a better steward of your money than you are, whereas in more conservative places they give more power to the individual…and it isn’t based on what group you’re in. Taxes are higher in progressive places because they feel the govt. They are more likely to develop new policies to provide handouts, and in many cases even basing it on what group a person is in. Liberal places are more likely to establish an environment that prioritizes criminals over property owners. ![]() I simply said that conservatives are more likely to subscribe to a world view where they prioritize personal responsibility and individuality which results in judging someone based on their character and actions instead of what group they’re in. ![]() I didn’t say there are conservative “progressive” states. A dying gay Indian bodybuilding forum isn’t a reflection of society as a whole, and I’m convinced many of the worst offenders are just trolls anyway. Now imagine if Trump had said “ I don’t know who I’m picking, but I can tell you for sure it has to be a white male”. Our current president openly says he won’t consider men and/or whites for certain positions and no one bats an eye. Hell, affirmative action is the very definition of institutional racism. There are countless examples from professors, media pundits, influencers, politicians, and many others. You can be racist against whites and sexist against men with little to no pushback, and you’ll probably be celebrated for doing it. Racism and misogyny are clearly spewed from the left more than the right. And everything I said about individuality, personal freedom, accountability still holds true. Sure over history conservatives have been reluctant to budge, but again we’re talking about current times. Well I’m talking about the present time, which is how I interpreted Opie’s post(discussing current times). ![]()
